Marketing advisors to iconic brands & pioneering agencies

As marketing guys go, I’m a little bit of a slashie.

I’m a lot of different guys rolled into one: strategy fella, entrepreneur hombre, management honcho, business jefe. My passion is making everyone around me better. I’m currently doing that as a fractional Advisor for a few high-potential creative agencies and brands.

If buzzwords are your thing, I build collaborative teams that strategize, conceptualize and execute innovative marketing programs.

If that sounded like gobbledygook, here it is another way:
I believe a solid team beats a solo ‘genius’ every time.
Media, strategy and creative are simply aspects of the same experience.
Ideas not executed flawlessly aren't worth a damn.
I admire marketing that doesn’t rely on consumer interruption; the best ‘ads’ provide utility and value to audiences.

I’ve had the good fortune to work with iconic brands like MINI, Harley-Davidson, Burger KingSam Adams and Saturn making those kinds of ideas.

Innovative agencies have defined my advertising background — those that I’ve run and advised and those that shaped me.

I’m currently an advisor and interim Managing Director at Humanaut, a literal brand production studio in Chattanooga TN with an incredible on-site video/digital facility, some of the best work of 2019, small agency of the year awards and explosive growth.

As President of Victors & Spoils, I managed all facets of the agency and led innovative experiments to find new ways to source strategic and creative ideas by leveraging our open philosophy and global crowd of thousands of creatives and strategists.

At CP+B, I joined as the 125th employee in one office and was part of eight years of growth to 1,200 in five global offices. As VP/Account Director, I managed the Best Buy relationship when we created Twelpforce, which influenced and anticipated the social media environment we know today. It was also my luck to work with MINI and Burger King making some of the most recognized work in the industry. We were named AdAge Agency of the Decade for the '00s.

At Hal Riney & Partners, I saw under the hood of one of the best corporate and advertising cases in Saturn, as well as personally witnessing the last pitch of the legend himself at GM headquarters.

I served as Chief Strategy Officer at MMB, managing the account and strategy teams, and leading agency new business efforts.

I've traveled to all 50 US states, many of our national parks and called Michigan, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Miami, Boulder and now Boston home.
